ask

As someone who was repeteadly molested by a FAMILY MEMBER as a child, and has to live with the consequences for the rest of my life, I am disgusted by how lightly, arrogantly and inadequately this issue is treated. To simplifise, generalise and distort what abuse really is, just adds up to what the person who has gone through such terror, has to bear. It is unfair, unacceptable.

Instead of this unintelligent, neglectful attitude that aims to blame the abuse on the victim on the basis of their looks and attitude, and regards the story as settled, the emphasis should be on their mental recovery.
Moreover, mental health care should be prioritised (and not, for instance, buidling stadiums), so people may avoid becoming victims, or even: abusers.

As I have mentioned, I was abused by a family member, not a stranger, at a young age, without any awareness of my sexuality or looks , so NOT because I dressed or behaved in a provative way. NO ONE should be afraid to dress up and behave they want to, unless downright offensive.

The whole handling of problems is absurd around here. Hope this and the similar initiations will help start developing a healthy frame of mind.
